By early 1950’s PSN emerges as the largest fleet operator next only to state owned transport. The fleet size was -110 nos. of route buses, 80 nos. of trucks. The group had to pass through agonizing convulsions in route bus operation in late 60’s and early 70's due to the perennial problem of Kerala state - industrial atmosphere, vitiated by militancy. It had to come out leaner with its inherent strength intact. PSN had diversified interest in fuel stations, hotels, estates, consumer stores, series of workshops for cars and trucks and sub dealership for Ashok Leyland, Mahindra, and Fiat for central kerala.
